About Auschwitz (Did Holocaust truly exist?)

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Not long ago someone gave me magazine with “The Leuchter Report” and said “I think he is right.” At first when I looked at the shown evidence, I had to agree. Everything seemed great… Yet, when I started to read what exactly his point of view was, I could not believe it. This man was absolutely certain that gas chambers in Auschwitz never operated and that whole Holocaust is just a lie… Now I would like to one more time “fight for the historical correctness” and tell you why this “report” is not right.

First of all, because I no longer have that magazine, I am using THIS website in order to be aware of all “report’s” claims all the time. My arguments are shown as a bullet points but I believe you will be able to understand what my point of view is in that case.

1.       Mr. Frederick A. Leuchter never had any degree in the chemical, biological or toxicological field (he has BA in history…). Therefore he has no right to undermine thesis of killing people with Zyklon B.

a.       The New York Times on October 24, 1990: “A self-proclaimed execution expert and manufacturer of death machinery was charged today in a Middlesex County District Court with fraudulently practicing engineering. The man, Frederick A. Leuchter Jr., holds a bachelor's degree in history and is not licensed to practice engineering in Massachusetts, state officials said."

2.       Mr. Leuchter was working on behalf of Ernst Zundel, another anti-Holocaust publisher who was put into trial in Canada in 1988. Leuchter had to show evidence that Mr. Zundel is in fact not guilty. His work therefore cannot be taken seriously (he was hired to claim that)

3.       Mr. Leuchter states that in the walls of the gas chambers at Auschwitz were far fewer compounds of hydrogen cyanide (Zyklon B) than in the walls of the disinfection chambers which would mean that Zyklon B was used to disinfect, not to kill. He misunderstood one thing – the gas was used to kill people in the gas chambers for half an hour a day (30 minutes), while the duration of disinfection in the disinfection chambers was 24 hours (at least in the standard procedure). If you don’t see it – disinfection of gas chambers could take place 48 times as long as killing itself. And one more – the disinfection chambers were (and still are) located inside the buildings while the walls of the Birkenau gas chambers are in ruin and have been exposed constantly to the weather such as rain which is able to erase the concentration of the hydrogen cyanide.

4.       Mr. Leuchter claims that only 278 people could fit in one gas chamber. He was probably thought in the school that a person in a standing position takes up almost a square meter of floor space. Unfortunately SS squeezed three or four people into each square meter of the gas chamber. We have to remember – for SS prisoners were nothing more than animals that someone have to kill. That’s all. No human rights, no sympathy. Just killing

5.       Mr. Leuchter said that even if the gas chambers existed only 278 people could be killed in one of them, and not 2000. And he claims that this could not be done every day, but rather once a week. Leuchter also shows that it took a week to air out the gas chamber. Regardless of the fact that the use of gas masks made it possible to start taking the corpses out of the gas chamber 30 minutes after the introduction of the gas, and that some of the gas chambers were equipped with mechanical ventilation, the claim that it took a week to air out a gas chamber is contradicted by order from the commandant on August 12, 1942 which reminded SS that they are forbidden to enter rooms after the use of Zyklon B for 5 hours… Not for a whole week

6.       Now the last thing – capacity. Mr. Leuchter claims that theoretically 714 and “realistically” 315 people could be burned in one crematorium per week. That means in all 5 crematoria would be burn 3570 people theoretically or 1575 people realistically per week. It is contradicted by document prepared by the Central Construction Board in Auschwitz on June 28, 1943 which shows that the five crematoria, together, could burn almost as much as 4,800 corpses in a 24-hour period.

7.       Also when I saw how Mr. Leuchter uses term “Allied propaganda” I began to wonder – who is he really working for? Neo-Nazis?

That’s all about the Leuchter Report. I will not even start with pictures that he was showing at the end of his “report” because they were not even related to the case. If he is showing picture of the gas chamber on which we cannot see anything but door and he states that it wasn’t ventilated, it wasn’t sealed properly etc. I cannot take that as the evidence. I don’t see anything but door so how can I say if it was or it wasn’t ventilated?

Also a video has been presented to me as another evidence in the Holocaust’s case. Video last about 19 minutes and I greatly encourage you to watch that before reading my opinion. Why? Because if you don’t watch that, you will have no clue what I am talking about in my bullet points. And now let’s start

1.       I’m not surprised that 22% of Americans (no offense of course) says it possible that Holocaust couldn’t happen and 12% that they don’t know. Some of them don’t even know that country named “Poland” really exists!

2.       Ok, I don’t know this museum that they are talking about but seriously? This guy thinks there were no gas chambers in Auschwitz? And that Jews were not killed because of their religion and nationality? I think that Mr. Bradley Smith should read “Mein Kampf”, especially part when Hitler shows his hatred toward Jews.

3.       Mr. Smith clearly doesn’t want to talk about the Holocaust. He’s just upset about the $2 million museum!

4.       Oh. Come on! I was in Auschwitz and I’m sorry but I have not seen any blue marks. What is more I cannot take evidence of painted walls as proof that it wasn’t a gas chamber. Also it’s hard to say in which room is the real gas chamber on the video. He could be in any room in Auschwitz. That film is not really a worthy evidence in that case…

5.       Argument about investigating camps by free Western historian cannot be taken serious. In Eastern Germany (from 1945 to 1991 communist state) were also concentration camps and they were investigated by Soviets and erased from the list. The problem is, from the 1944 that is from the first liberated camp all Allies thought that every camp was established to kill people. They were wrong. Only 6 or 7 camps were the “Death Camps” and only those 6 or 7 stayed on the list of “Death Camps”, all of the other camps were investigated either by Western historian or by Soviet historian and if there was no proof for gas chambers, they were erased from the list

6.       His arguments about number of killed Jews are confronted already in the video so I will not add anything

7.       I don’t have time for other parts of this tremendous show but I think I had enough anyway...

If you have any more evidence against the Holocaust, please present that. My position is clear – 6 million Jews were killed during Holocaust because of their faith and ethnicity. From that 1,100,000-1,500,000 were killed in Auschwitz in gas chambers (not only but most of them). There is evidence for that and I will present that to contradict your arguments against the Holocaust. Please, be my guest in the discussion :)
